The Flea3 FL3-GE series GigE Vision digital cameras from Point Grey Research Inc. measure 29 x 29 x 30 mm and are supplied with FireWire and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The first available models use monochrome and color versions of the Sony ICX445 CCD, a high-sensitivity, 1.3-megapixel, 1/3-in. EXview HAD image sensor that runs at 30 fps. The cameras feature optoisolated general-purpose input/output for industrial triggering and strobe output, nonvolatile flash memory for user data storage, and an on-camera frame buffer. They are equipped with a C-mount lens holder, a removable IR cut filter (color models) and an optical window (monochrome models). The Flea3 complies with version 1.2 of the GigE Vision specification, enabling use with many third-party software packages.
