Ibsen Photonics has announced the I-MON 256 OEM interrogation monitor for fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing systems at 1550 nm. The device complements the company’s extensive range of interrogation monitors for 850, 1310 and 1550 nm, with a solution dedicated for OEM integrators. It enables fast line-scan rates of up to 20 kHz for a large number of FBG sensors because of its high optical resolution and broad wavelength coverage. With the direct electrical interface to the 256-element InGaAs detector, it offers a cost-efficient solution for OEM integrators of FBG sensing systems. Applications include vibration analysis, temperature and strain measurement, and pressure monitoring.
