LEDdynamics Inc. has expanded its LUXdrive line of high-power, constant-current drivers with the release of the A011 FlexBlock. The LED driver, configurable in either boost-only or buck-boost modes, is suitable for driving the new high-brightness, high-power LEDs and LED arrays. It is available in 350- and 700-mA versions, has a low profile and measures 2 x 1.2 x 0.38 in. The FlexBlock operates from an input voltage of 10 to 32 VDC and provides a maximum output voltage of 48 VDC. In buck-boost mode, the output voltage may be less than, equal to or higher than the input voltage. In many applications, it can be operated with no additional heat sinking. The dimmable A011 is compatible with many 0 to 10-VDC low-voltage dimming controls.
