The Archimed series diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers manufactured by RPMC Lasers Inc. offer 45 to 150 mJ of pulse energy at 1064 nm, with pulse widths from 9 to 12 ns and repetition rates up to 50 Hz. The compact air-cooled devices also are available with second-, third- and fourth-harmonic generation options.

In addition to these harmonics, they can be equipped with an optical parametric oscillator to generate the eye-safe wavelength of 1.5 μm, which produces 10 mJ of pulse energy with pulse widths from 7 to 9 ns and repetition rates of up to 25 Hz.

All lasers in the series have multimode beam profiles and a polarization ratio of 100:1. They are suitable for use in scientific applications, including light detection and ranging, rangefinding and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, and are rugged enough for limited field use.
