Alliance Fiber Optics Products Inc. says its all-fiber single-mode depolarizer can reduce polarization to less than 5% DOP. It is a broadband 1550-nm portable instrument that is suitable for use in measurement systems where polarization effects must be eliminated. A 980-nm version is available for erbium-doped fiber amplifier applications.
