SAN DIMAS, Calif., Jan. 19, 2012 — Craic Technologies Inc. has announced the addition of kinetic spectroscopy capabilities to its 20/20 Perfect Vision UV-VIS-NIR microspectrophotometer.

With the kinetic spectroscopy package, the system monitors the full-range spectra of a microscopic sample area over time and plots the results. Analysis of samples can be done by absorbance, reflectance and optical emission from the deep-UV to far into the near-infrared spectral regions and over a range of time periods. Applications include biological time-resolved analysis, measuring the degradation of LEDs over time, and measuring chemical reactions on metallic films. Time-resolved spectra of microscopic sample areas can be analyzed with multiple spectroscopic techniques, in the laboratory or manufacturing facility.

The microspectrophotometer delivers high spatial resolution and sensitivity. It integrates an advanced high-speed spectrophotometer with a sophisticated UV-VIS-NIR range microscope and powerful, easy-to-use software. When incorporating the kinetics microspectroscopy package, the instrument can create 3-D maps in which X and Y are the spectrum and Z is the time domain.
