5-Megapixel Cameras

Jan 2012
Lumenera CorporationRequest Info
Lumenera Corp. has released its 5-megapixel USB 2.0 camera series for scientific imaging applications. Based on the Sony Super HAD ICX655 CCD sensor, the Lw560 and Lw565 feature 2448 x 2048-pixel resolution and selectable 8- or 14-bit output, providing good color images in the visible and near-infrared. The digital cameras are designed for applications requiring high sensitivity and vivid color reproduction, such as 3-D biometrics, ophthalmology and low-light imaging. With interline transfer, progressive scan, global electronic shutter and a short image integration time, they capture high-speed motion images with the least chance of blur. Region of interest and binning modes allow the cameras to operate at 23 fps with 640 x 480-pixel resolution without compromising image quality.
