For the low-power lasers used in cutting fabrics, filter mats, canvas, clothing, textiles and synthetics, Laser Research Optics, a division of Meller Optics Inc., has released a line of field-replacement CO2 optics. The optics meet OEM and ISO-10110 specifications and are offered in 1/2- to 1 1/2-in.-diameter sizes, with 1- to 25-in. focal lengths in 1/2-in. increments. Available from stock, they ship within 24 h to minimize laser production downtime. The optics are optimized for use at 10.6 µm and are suitable for Amada, Bystronic, Cincinnati, Mazak, Mitsubishi, Prime, Strippit and Trumpf lasers. Mirrors and reflectors made from silicon, molybdenum and copper, from 2 to 10 mm thick, are available in 1/2- to 3-in. diameters.
