BEDFORD, Mass., Aug. 23, 2012 — Diversified Technologies Inc. has introduced a 19-in. rack-mountable, fast, low-impedance, high-energy pulser suited for a variety of atmospheric plasma applications.

The all-solid-state unit incorporates magnetic pulse compression that provides 17-ns rise times and a pulse rate of 8 kHz. It can generate up to 50 mJ per pulse at voltages to 50 kV.

Custom engineered to match specific customer application requirements, it is adaptable to a wide range of high voltages, pulse repetition rates and pulse duration. Applications include creating nonthermal plasma for materials processing, biomedical sterilization and/or water purification.
