EDISON, N.J., Sept. 3, 2012 — The Syncerity research-grade OEM spectroscopy camera manufactured by Horiba Scientific offers low readout noise and a high dynamic range.

The 1024 × 256 CCD detector for UV-VIS-NIR is an open-electrode −60 ºC thermoelectrically cooled CCD camera that accommodates OEM and research applications. Its flexible design and software allow customization for industrial requirements, ranging from alternate CCD chips to electronics customization. Rugged connectors ensure system integrity in industrial environments, and its all metal sealed technology provides a permanent vacuum that comes with a lifetime maintenance-free warranty.

Syncerity’s ultracompact size is designed for compatibility with microscopes and OEM integration. At its slow scan speed of 45 kHz, the detector offers a dynamic range of 92.5 dB in image mode and delivers nonlinearity of < 0.4%. Is open-electrode CCD technology offers broad spectral coverage with quantum efficiency of 33% at 250 nm and 50% at 800 nm.
