Lumenera Corp. has launched its USB 3.0 CMOSIS sensor-based camera series.

The Lt425 and Lt225 were created for speed using USB 3.0 technology to ensure image delivery at up to 170 fps at maximum resolution. Image capture can be synchronized using either a hardware or software trigger and is complemented by 128 MB of onboard memory. A built-in memory buffer guarantees image delivery, and images are never lost due to competing requests on a host computer because they are temporarily held within the camera until the host computer is ready to receive them.

The camera measures 40 × 40 × 53 mm and integrates easily into tight spaces, with four mounting points on all four sides. The fully locking USB 3.0 cabling and digital interface ensure plug-and-play installation, with no frame grabber required. Simplified input/output cabling is provided through a locking Hirose connector that supports external power input along with one optically isolated output, one optically isolated input and two configurable input/output ports.

The cameras are offered in color and monochrome as well as NIR models.
