Single- and Multichannel Laser Modules

MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J., Jan. 9, 2013 — Akela Laser Corp. has released its single and multichannel laser diode modules in wavelengths from 635 to 1950 nm. They offer integrated cooling and drive electronics for plug-and-play use.

Suitable for R&D and OEM applications, they are designed for 100-μm, 0.22-numerical-aperture fibers and provide up to 2 W of continuous-wave power per channel.

The modules can be operated in both CW and pulsed regimes and can be configured using either a USB port or external voltages. They offer several emergency shut-off options.

The laser modules are available in the following configurations: single channel, multichannel with independently addressable outputs, and multiple outputs controlled by a single driver.
