NORWICH, England, Jan. 18, 2013 — Artemis CCD Ltd. has announced the LF110 scientific cooled CCD camera. The 11-megapixel camera features the same 35-mm KAI-11002 CCD sensor as its predecessor.

It includes low- and high-speed analog-to-digital converters, providing a wide range of image acquisition speeds while maintaining image integrity. A full-frame image of 4008 × 2672 pixels can be acquired at speeds of 2 megapixels per second for high-quality images, and at up to 12 megapixels per second in preview mode. It matches its predecessor’s noise performance of 11 electrons and transfers images to the PC more quickly.

The combination of a new thermoelectric cooler with improved air flow management provides a temperature delta in excess of −40 °C, without the assistance of liquid cooling.
