LimeLight Laser Module

TAMPERE, Finland, Jan. 29, 2013 — Modulight Inc. has released the latest version of its RGB LimeLight laser system, which produces 1-W output power at 635, 532 and 465 nm from a 3 × 3-in. footprint. The platform has been cut in half, but it houses more functions and covers the wavelength regions from the visible at 465 nm to the near-infrared at 1550 nm, with optical output power from 500 mW to 30 W.

Applications include life sciences, displays and laser projection. The standard system is supplied with SMA 905 receptacle fiber output, an integrated driver, a cooling controller and a smart on/off switch.

The module supports continuous-wave and pulsed operation and can be controlled through a 10-pin connector port by a standard PC user interface or directly by an analog/digital control signal. The platform supports many safety features required in the medical field, such as pilot beam, fiber interlock and safety switch. Dimensions are 80 × 80 × 40 mm.
