MILTON GREEN, England, March 19, 2013 — 4D Technology’s AccuFiz long-wavelength infrared (LWIR) laser interferometer, suitable for measuring concave, convex, afocal infrared components, infrared telescopes and lens systems, is available from Laser Physics UK.

Based on its ability to capture high slopes, the interferometer measures aspherical optics without the need for a holographic element. It operates at a wavelength of 10.6 mm for an accurate measurement of metal, polished and rough glass. The infrared wavelength enables measurement of rough-ground optics prior to the final polish.

An optional vibration-insensitive dynamic mode is also available for measurements under most environmental conditions without vibration isolation or turbulence control.
