The Coating Department at ULC has added infrared spectral measurement to its list of test capabilities. The newly acquired Perkin Elmer Spectrum BX FTIR spectrophotometer has a measurement compartment that can accommodate samples from 1 to 4 in. in diameter or square and covers a spectral scan range of 2500 nm to 22,000 nm. ULC can now provide spectral scans from 185 nm to 22,000 nm.
