The P4-4k, the latest version of the Piranha4 CMOS line-scan cameras from Teledyne Dalsa, is suitable for high-speed imaging applications, including machine vision, electronics manufacturing, print inspection, check scanning and pharmaceutical.

Available in color and monochrome, the camera provides 4k resolution and 10.56-µm2 pixel size. The monochrome Piranha4 dual line-scan camera delivers a maximum line rate of 100 kHz in TDI (tachometry displacement integration) mode or 200 kHz in area mode. The P4-4k trilinear color camera delivers a maximum line rate of 70 kHz. Both models use advanced chipsets that allow cable lengths of 15 to 30 m and beyond.

The device features a GenICam-compliant interface for easy setup, control and integration, as well as lens shading and flat-field correction, independent exposure control for each color channel, operating temperature range from 0 to 65 ºC and multiple areas for calibration and output.
