BÖBLINGEN, Germany, June 17, 2013 — Avago Technologies has released the ACSL-7210, a dual-channel bidirectional digital optocoupler with a data rate from DC to 25 megabaud (MBd).

The device is optimized for bidirectional industrial communication networks using high-speed protocols such as Profibus fieldbus and Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). It uses a proprietary integrated circuit and patented packaging technologies to achieve 3750 vrms signal isolation in a low-profile SO-8 package (<2 mm), while supporting high-speed full-duplex data communications.

Other features include CMOS input and output, 10-ns maximum pulse width distortion, 40-ns maximum propagation delay and 20-kV/µs minimum common mode rejection (CMR) at VCM = 1000 V.
