DFB 1030-nm Seed Laser

BERLIN, and KYOTO, Japan, July 8, 2013 — Eagleyard Photonics has introduced the DFB 1030-nm seed laser for pulsed seeding of ytterbium-doped fibers for applications such as materials processing.

The compact laser diode offers a pulse peak performance of more than 600 mW at 1.5 A with a 10-ns pulse and a 200-kHz repetition rate. It also comes in a 14-pin butterfly package with a mode-suppression ratio of 30 dB under pulse mode, which is suitable for frequency conversion.
