STONEHAM, Mass., Oct. 13, 2013 — Advanced Laser Technologies now offers a custom laser drilling service specializing in the fabrication of components requiring microholes.

The process produces distortion- and stress-free holes as small as 0.01 in. in diameter with ±0.0005-in. tolerance, depending on the material, thickness and configuration. It is suitable for fabricating components where hole angles and the resulting airflow or fluid flow is critical.

The service is suitable for use on nickel alloys, Inconel, stainless steel and similar materials.
