fWHITEThe ASE-FL7200 test source from Thorlabs Inc. produces amplified spontaneous emission from 1440 to 1500 nm with a spectral density of >-20 dBm/nm at 1450 to 1490 nm. The thulium-doped fluoride fiber is optically pumped with a diode laser and displays output of 1.25 mW. Suitable for the testing of optical components relating to the 1470-nm pumping of 1500-nm erbium-doped fiber amplifiers, the ASE-FL7200 features an 88 x 230 x 352-mm footprint and an operating temperature range from 0 to 45 °C.
