BARRINGTON, N.J., Nov. 15, 2013 — Edmund Optics’ new TechSpec OD 6 multinotch filters for Nd:YAG lasers provide high transmission and deep rejection to isolate narrow spectral widths for a variety of applications.

The filters are fabricated using hard-coated plasma deposition technology to improve durability. They achieve greater than 90 percent transmission in their passband and offer blocking of greater than 6.0 optical density at the specified wavelength.

Offering a transmission range from 325 to 1200 nm, the filters are available in 12.5-, 25- and 50-mm diameters with center wavelengths of 355 and 532 nm, 355 and 1064 nm, and 355, 532 and 1064 nm. Applications include medical or cosmetic laser systems, tattoo removal, particle image velocimetry, planar laser-induced fluorescence, lidar and environmental monitoring.
