FAIRBORN, Ohio, Jan. 6, 2014 — NetLinc, a laser micrometer interface from LaserLinc, streamlines the setup process by enabling transmission of measurement data via a standard Ethernet cable.

LaserLinc's TLAser230™ laser scan micrometer with internal NetLinc™ laser micrometer interface (left) and external NetLinc interface box showing connector panel (right).

Users can plug one end of the cable into any PC, laptop or all-in-one box running Total Vu software, and the other into the interface’s Ethernet port. It also can connect a micrometer to plant networks, streaming the data to a Total Vu PC via standard Ethernet TCP/IP.

To use the interface with existing company micrometers, an external box may be added.
