CHELMSFORD, Mass., Jan. 31, 2014 — The STS system by McPherson Inc. tests and calibrates spectral and spatial performance in optical seekers, integrated imagers and bare sensors for commercial, military and research applications.
The technology uses a single optical path and reflective optics to perform absolute measurements of transmission, reflection, stray light sensitivity, and head-on response or incidence angles, covering the UV to the longwave IR spectral range. The device offers variable bandwidth and replaceable diffraction grating, light source and detector turrets.
The STS can be customized for various applications, such as for systems providing high spectral purity or having large-format receivers and senders up to 300-mm clear aperture or more.
