BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Feb. 20, 2014 — Hamamatsu Corp. has released the ORCA-Flash4.0 LT scientific CMOS camera for applications such as bright-field, fluorescence, live-cell, 3-D and ratiometric calcium ion imaging.

The camera’s quantum efficiency >70% at 600 nm and low noise produce a high signal-to-noise ratio. It can achieve 30 fps at full resolution and offers a field of view of 2048 × 2048 pixels with 6.5-µm pixel pitch.

Other features include a USB 3.0 interface, various trigger modes, large full-well capacity and wide dynamic range.
