OXFORD, Mass., March 26, 2014 — IPG Photonics Corp. has introduced the IX-200-F, a fiber laser micromachining system for general-purpose, R&D and batch-scale production applications.

The multifunction system can be configured with different combinations of fiber lasers and beam-delivery systems to address high-precision cutting, drilling and patterning micromachining applications.

It features a high-resolution microscope vision system for continuous zoom range from 38× to 880× for submicron automated part alignment and inspection. It also features multiaxis part-handling and vision systems for machined feature placement and process control as well as fully integrated software that enables both highly complex machining functions.
