Ophir Photonics, the global leader in precision laser measurement equipment and a Newport Corp. brand, announces that its LP1 sensor coating has the highest damage resistance in the industry. Designed for continuous power and long >1-ms pulses, this coating provides a damage threshold 2× higher than any competitive models. Traditional absorbers can damage at 2-3 kW/cm2 at >1000 W. The LP1 is a denser coating that has higher heat resistance, improving the damage threshold when measuring high-power lasers.
