ROCHESTER, N.Y., July 24, 2014 — Melles Griot offers five redesigned electromechanical shutters for life sciences, semiconductor, and defense and security applications, as well as manufacturing and vision enhancement in harsh environments.

The rotary-drive integrated controllers, 04 RDI 231 and 04 RDI 232, are resistant to shock and vibration. The 04 RDS 731 and 04 RDS 761 paddle shutters have a radial drive actuator that only uses power when moving the blades. The 04 SMD 001 stepper motor shutter comes with a magnetic direct drive for repeatable speed and time control.

The shutters are distributed by Idex Optics & Photonics.
