RICHMOND, British Columbia, Canada, Aug. 26, 2014 — The Grasshopper3 GS3-U3-41S4 from Point Grey is a 4.1-megapixel global shutter CCD camera.

Based on the Sony ICX808 EXview HAD CCD II, the cameras come in color or monochrome. They feature a 11.8-in. global shutter sensor, 3.1-µm square pixels and are capable of 2048 × 2048 resolution at 18 fps with 72 percent quantum efficiency.

Applications include microscopy and ophthalmology, as well as area-of-interest and electronics inspection.
