PRAGUE, Sept. 8, 2014 — The Delphi from Delmic BV and Phenom-World BV is an integrated correlative tabletop fluorescence and electron microscope.

The device is designed for correlated light and electron microscopy (CLEM) through simultaneous acquisition and seamless switching between techniques, which would normally introduce contaminants or changes in sample morphology.

Mechanics and the use of a proprietary automated alignment technique using the electron beam allows user-independent overlay images for use in life sciences imaging.

fluorescence microscopy
Observation of samples using excitation produced fluorescence. A sample is placed within the excitation laser and the plane of observation is scanned. Emitted photons from the sample are filtered by a long pass dichroic optic and are detected and recorded for digital image reproduction.
