ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Sept. 22, 2014 — A tunable laser source for high-speed 100- and 400-Gb/s coherent transmission systems, the Dual Micro-Integrable Tunable Laser Assembly (ITLA) from Emcore enables the design of higher densities into coherent systems.

The system integrates external cavity laser technology and requires 25 percent less space than two single micro-ITLAs combined. A standard ITLA RS-232 digital user interface is included for technology-independent control.

The Dual Micro-ITLA is used for optical networking applications.
