O’FALLON, Mo., Oct. 17, 2014 — The Lapa (Firefly) diode-pumped solid-state laser by RPMC Lasers Inc. offers up to 80 mJ of pulse energy at 1064 nm and pulse widths of 6 to 15 ns.

It features a repetition rate of up to 30 Hz, a beam diameter of 5 mm, and a <1 mrad divergence. It can be used for applications such as photoacoustic tomography, portable laser-induced-breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and mobile lidar.
