CHELMSFORD, England, Oct. 30, 2014 — Designed for outdoor camera applications with limited budgets and industrial machine-vision applications where high-speed inspection is required, the Onyx EV76C771ABT image sensor from e2v is a 2-million-pixel device with a high-definition 1080p format.

The CMOS sensor’s pixel design offers performance in low-light conditions, while catering to all-light environments where wide dynamic range is also needed. It features an electronic global shutter or rolling shutter mode, and offers high readout speed at full resolution.

Applications include high-speed industrial inspection, scanning systems, traffic cameras, broadcast cameras, surveillance, border control, astronomy and military imaging.
