LIVINGSTON, Scotland, Nov. 11, 2014 — A new pulsed light source from Edinburgh Instruments is optimized for time-correlated single-photon counting (TCSPC).
The EPLED 310 diode laser emits at 310 nm, with a typical pulse width of <800 ps. It is intended as an alternative to nanosecond flashlamps and mode-locked Ti:sapphire femtosecond lasers.
It may be used in fluorescence lifetime spectrometers and fluorescence lifetime multiwell plate readers for spectroscopy applications in biochemistry, biology, photophysics, semiconductor physics and biochemical assays.
