EDISON, N.J. — New software from Horiba Scientific turns the company’s Raman microscopes into high-throughput chemical analyzers, coupling nondestructive analysis with high sample turnaround. The MultiWell module for Horiba’s LabSpec 6 Spectroscopy Suite is compatible with a range of well plates, microtiter plates and microspot arrays, including standard 96- and 384-well plates. It requires a microscope with a motorized XY stage. A Plate Wizard can be used to configure virtually any plate to be used by the Raman system. Reference locating tools are available to ensure spatial integrity when loading the plates, compensating for shift, rotation and tilt of the plate.
