NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I., Dec. 2, 2014 — Hexagon Metrology PC-DMIS 2014.1Delivering overall performance improvements and enhancements for point-cloud inspection and reverse engineering, PC-DMIS 2014.1 measurement software from Hexagon Metrology expands laser and vision toolsets.

New alignment and filtering tools refine and enhance the usability of laser scanning systems with a mesh command that allows users to create a single mesh from any number of point clouds. A blade toolkit module improves blade inspection efficiency, and a QuickFeature selection is available for simple one-click feature creation from point-cloud data. Color scale allows finer customization and custom layout abilities with the configuration of color map properties.

PC-DMIS 2014.1 is compatible with Leica Absolute AT960 and AT930 laser trackers and provides a common metrology software platform for shops using laser tracker technology.
