APELDOORN, Netherlands, Feb. 27, 2015 — Avantes Avaspec-NIR 256-HSCAvantes has announced a new near-infrared spectrometer suited for analysis of grain, corn, wheat and soy.

Based on a 100-mm optical bench with NA of 0.13, the Avaspec-NIR 256-HSC is equipped with a replaceable slit and a range of gratings, offering the possibility to tailor the instrument for various applications.

Also available is a user-selectable gain mode: LN (low- noise, standard setting), which gives users a longer integration time and higher signal-to-noise ratio, or HS (high-sensitivity) for measuring in low-light conditions.
