iChrome SLE from Toptica PhotonicsThe new iChrome SLE integrates up to six individual diode or DPSS lasers in one box and provides fast switching between two single-mode fiber outputs. The automated alignment technology COOLAC guarantees constant output power levels, in addition to a microprocessor-based architecture, which enables high-speed modulation applications by fast wavelength and intensity changes.

fluorescence microscopy
Observation of samples using excitation produced fluorescence. A sample is placed within the excitation laser and the plane of observation is scanned. Emitted photons from the sample are filtered by a long pass dichroic optic and are detected and recorded for digital image reproduction.

A two-electrode device with an anode and a cathode that passes current in only one direction. It may be designed as an electron tube or as a semiconductor device.
