HUDSON, N.H. — American Infrared Solutions mini-Nyx-S 640Optimized for hyperspectral and imaging applications, a new shortwave infrared integrated Dewar cooler assembly (IDCA) from American Infrared Solutions LLC (AIRS) offers higher quantum efficiency and signal-to-noise ratio than conventional SWIR sensor technologies.

The mini-Nyx-S 640 features a 640 × 512-pixel mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) SWIR focal plane array. With a high operating temperature, the array provides extended wavelength capability to 2.5 μm.

The optical interface can be configured with order-blocking filters, cold filters and other optical subassemblies within the IDCA. A Smart IDCA electronics option provides front-end signal processing, such as A/D conversion and CameraLink video output.

Applications include hyperspectral imaging, commercial and scientific OEM applications, gimbal systems, portable systems and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
