BEAVERTON, Ore. — Tektronix Inc. has introduced a 45-GHz optical modulation analyzer that can support 100-G and next-generation 400-G communications standards. Providing support for single- or multicarrier systems, the analyzer is integrated with the company’s DPO70000SX 70-GHz ATI performance oscilloscope to provide multi-channel, high-sample-rate and low-noise digitization of complex modulation signaling for testing coherent optical transmitters, transmission systems and receivers.

The OM4245 45-GHz optical modulation analyzer provides dual-polarization coherent optical analysis up to 80 gigabaud. It offers built-in narrow-linewidth lasers and supports the Tektronix OM-Series User Interface (OUI). The OUI provides access to the MatLab computational engine used by researchers for more advanced coherent optical analysis. The system provides a time-saving and customizable platform for conducting experiments in coherent modulation algorithms.
