DRESDEN, Germany, May 5, 2015 — InfraTec GmbH has announced an IR spectrometric sensor to measure the energy content of natural and other fuel gases.
The device includes a tunable micromachined Fabry-Perot filter. By using a higher order of interference, the spectral resolution was improved from 60 to 25 nm in the wavelength range of 3.1 to 3.7 μm.
The dynamics of the filter were improved by optimizing the electromechanical design, enabling scan frequencies up to 10 Hz.
