CMOS Cameras
May 2015

CAKOVEC, Croatia, May 22, 2015 — Smartek Vision GC1932 and GCP1931The GC series of industrial cameras from Smartek Vision (Smartek DOO) features the Sony Pregius Exmor IMX249 CMOS sensor.

The global-shutter sensor has a dynamic range up to 70 dB, 5.86-μm pixels, a read-noise value of 10 e- and very high sensitivity under low-light conditions. The IMX249 sensor offers a transfer rate up to 41 frames per second.

Suited for image processing where image quality is important and speed plays a lesser role, the GC1932 camera is designed for industrial use. It is able to accurately reproduce the shape of moving objects, while simultaneous recording of all pixel signals produces distortion-free images without smearing.

Meanwhile, the GCP1931 camera, part of the company's Giganetix Plus series, now incorporates the Sony Pregius Exmor IMX174 CMOS sensor’s full multi-ROI (region-of-interest) feature.

By setting regions of interest, users can select a certain section of the image, increasing transfer performance. Several regions of interest can be laid out in a grid structure to make better use of bandwidth.

Framos GmbH of Taufkirchen, Germany, is the distributor.
