GRANTS PASS, Ore., June 17, 2015 — Siskiyou optics clipA new optics clip from Siskiyou Corp. secures high-flatness components in optical mounts without significantly degrading their wavefront performance.

Traditional optics mount holdings such as set screws or permanent adhesives introduce mechanical stress, warping the component out of shape. Siskiyou’s patent-pending retaining clip prevents lateral movement of the part.

The clips are compatible with all two-axis adjustment, flexure and kinematic optical mounts for mirrors, lenses and beamsplitters. The clips attach using two screws, accessed from the front of the mount for simple cleaning or replacement.
