MUNICH, Oct. 5, 2015 — Instrument Systems GmbH has announced the LGS 1000 goniophotometer system for precise determination of the spatial radiation characteristics of solid-state lighting products, as well as lamps and luminaires.
Innovative burning position correction permits the measurement of all the device's photometric quantities under test in a luminaire orientation other than the designed burning position. A mechanical design guarantees a comfortable setup of the operational position, necessary for correction and determination of data using the auxiliary photometer method in conformity with international standards.
There is no need for renewed thermal stabilization of the light source, as the LGS 1000 allows the sample to turn into the designed burning position, even when it's switched on, minimizing the effect of the correction process on valuable measuring time.
