WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada, Oct. 21, 2015 — Line Scan CameraTeledyne Dalsa Inc. has announced an 8K GbE Vision line-scan camera, the latest addition to its Linea product line.

The 8K model uses a high-sensitivity CMOS sensor with 7.04 × 7.04-μm pixels and TurboDrive technology, utilizing the full speed of the sensor without image quality loss. An extended dynamic range combines short- and long-exposure images to output images with high contrast in both dark and bright areas, increasing the likelihood of defect detection.

The camera acquires 8,000 pixels at up to 45 kHz. A cycling mode allows users to cycle through preset camera parameters, gain, exposure time, input/output and flat-field correction coefficients for each line. A burst mode maximizes system data throughput, allowing users to acquire images at full speed and transfer during idle times.
