ANOKA, Minn., Nov. 2, 2015 — Fiber Laser OpticsMate Laser Technologies has announced 1-μm optics for high-power fiber lasers.

The products include lenses, protective windows and nozzles for OEM laser systems.

The optics feature extremely low-absorption, fused silica substrates. The antireflection coatings have a high laser-damage threshold for long life. Low absorption ensures the highest cutting quality without the thermal lensing and focus shift that can reduce cutting speed and quality.

The line is applicable for all 1-μm applications in the 1030 to 1080-nm range with ultralow absorption, a pinpoint focal length of 0.5 percent and a laser damage threshold >10 J.
