RONKONKOMA, N.Y. — Photonics Industries International Inc. has increased the power of its RGH series industrial picosecond lasers to 70 W.

The 70-W RGH-1064-70 emits <15 ps pulses at 1064 nm and offers individually triggered pulses on demand as well as burst-mode operation. With an adjustable repetition rate from single shot to 2 MHz, users can change the operating pulse repetition frequency, operating power or pulse energy on the fly to maximize process flexibility. Pulse energies of 600 μJ at 100 kHz are specified.

Applications include metal engraving and marking, LED dicing, thin film removal, and small feature structuring; glass, sapphire and ceramics cutting and drilling; and 3D lidar.
