JENA, Germany, Nov. 18, 2015 — Carl Zeiss Meditec AG has announced the Visucam 225 and 524 cameras, both of which feature a high-resolution optical chain to deliver enhanced retinal details for more effective detection and management of eye diseases.

An internal 24-MP sensor and enhanced post-processing provides fast and informative imaging in high quality from a nonmydriatic design. Fundus autofluorescence supports current and emerging therapeutic management options for dry age-related macular degeneration. Color and red-free modalities enhance the visualization of different anatomical features.

The 524 model offers fluorescein angiography and optional indocyanine green angiography for the assessment of vascular blood flow and leakage.
