COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Sanborn Map Company Inc. offers a variety of aerial imaging and measurement services using unmanned aircraft systems.

The company uses a vertical takeoff and landing platform with a 15-lb payload capacity, enabling the use of visible, multispectral, hyperspectral and thermal IR sensors, as well as laser altimeters.

Services include engineering-grade digital terrain models exceeding 2-in. accuracy, multispectral frame imagery at subcentimeter resolution, vibration-free video, high-resolution lidar data and thermal imaging data. Sanborn also offers image processing and analysis services.

Aerial imagery may be used for damage assessment and response efforts; site mapping; water resource mapping; volumetric assessment and asset estimation; highway survey and accident mapping; corridor asset review, assessment and mapping; and precision agriculture.
