SPARKS GLENCOE, Md., Feb. 3, 2016 — The Brimrose Corp. of America has expanded its line of acousto-optic (AO) components.
A new line of fiber-coupled AO modules are available, able to withstand up to 5 W of CW optical power for lasers operating at 1.06 and 1.55 µm. They offer high-speed analog or digital modulation, and high repetition rates for pulse-picking applications with low insertion losses.
High-power, free-space Q-switches, mode lockers, cavity dumpers and pulse pickers are also available in OEM packages, offering high-diffraction efficiencies combined with a high optical damage threshold. The modulators and pulse pickers have a rise time of <10 ns, with frequency shifters in the megahertz to gigahertz frequency ranges for wavelengths in the visual to IR regions.
